What organization couldn't use a Friends group? The Friends of CASA is a vibrant group of individuals who support the agency as a fundraising arm and volunteer base for our many special events.

Our Friends Volunteers put on their volunteer hats for annual events like the annual Wine Pairing and Spring Event, back to school supply drive, Child Abuse Prevention Month, and the holiday giving tree.

Who are the Friends of CASA?
The Friends of CASA are a group of energetic people who work as a volunteer arm and financial partner with Golden Crescent CASA. They raise vital funds to support the organization’s mission to utilize trained volunteers, appointed by the court, to advocate for the best interests of abused and neglected children and assist in placing them in nurturing and permanent homes. Founded in 1995, Golden Crescent CASA has helped abused and neglected children in our community for over 15 years.

How do the Friends of CASA help abused children?
The Friends have a direct impact on the children served by Golden Crescent CASA in three distinct ways. We host and participate in several fund-raising activities, provide critical volunteer support at Golden Crescent CASA events and locate thousands of dollars of in-kind donations for the children annually. Our largest fund-raising event is our annual CASA dinner and silent auction. We are proud to say that this event raises a significant amount of our annual revenue needed to continue our mission in our eight county region. Our members also plan and produce several smaller scale fundraisers throughout the year and serve as volunteers at other CASA events. Friends volunteer to chair and coordinate our back-to-school supply drive by providing school supplies to more than 200 children each year. Our friends also chair and coordinate our holiday Giving Tree program by securing holiday presents for each of the children that CASA serves. The members make ornaments, collect the gifts and deliver them to CASA children.

Through our Friends program, you have the opportunity to contribute your time and talents in a variety of ways. You can help make happy endings for abused children by joining today.
